What keeps people in communities together? <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bond built based on a common interest, a shared passion<\/strong>. That’s what causes them to communicate, what entices them to share, to collaborate. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Building, maintaining and developing an online community <\/strong>requires an appropriate strategy, which depends on the goal you want to achieve<\/strong>, the target audience to involve and the identity of your brand<\/strong>. For example, if you are a contemporary art museum that wants to increase the number of visitors, your community will be made up of contemporary art lovers of all ages, not just insiders, local or not, who love to live artistic and cultural experiences. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Very important, at this stage, is to establish the channels to be used for the development of the online community<\/strong>, which must be those most used by your target audience and those that you are sure you will use consistently and carefully<\/strong>. The most commonly used channels are social media, especially Facebook and LinkedIn groups. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this phase, you’ll need to determine the content to be organized into an editorial plan and establish metrics to monitor the progress of your community <\/strong>and the effectiveness of your communication strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Define and make public the policy <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order for a community to function effectively, there must be rules of conduct to guide it.<\/strong> That’s why it is very important to establish a governance, that is a set of provisions that regulate the life of the community. In particular, one of the most important tools is the so-called netiquette<\/em>, that is the set of rules that define what you can do and what is absolutely forbidden. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Establish the team <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
